Shakira just completed another season on NBC's "The Voice," and is the latest cover girl for Glam Belleza Latina. The blonde songstress reveals why she will not marry her son's father, Spanish footballer Gerard Pique, and what she loves about motherhood. Find out what she had to say!
The "Can't Remember to Forget You" singer announced last month she would not return as a judge on "The Voice."
"Honestly, I've had a blast," she told the Huffington Post. "But right now, I have to go on with my life as an artist. I'm not really a TV celebrity and I have to prep a tour and also do other stuff, like being a mother."
The singer met hubby Gerard Pique in 2010. They have one child together, 17 month-old son, Milan.
"We already have what's essential, you know? We have a union, a love for each other, and a baby," she told the mag when asked about marraige.
"I think that those aspects of our relationship are already established, and marriage is not going to change them. But if I'm ever going to get married, he's the one."
She also revealed she loves being a mother and watching her son grow.
"I suppose it's knowing that I can share with Milan everything I've learned and seen," Shakira said. "I don't have to keep all of that information to myself. I love teaching him something new every day."
Finally, the songstress reflected back on her roots, which stem from almost everywhere.
"I feel like I have roots in many places," she explained. "I'm Colombian by birth, half Lebanese on my father's side, and I have Catalan and Italian roots on my mother's side."
"I feel a strong connection to Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America, and well... with those three, you've already got a big part of the world covered."
