Poor Miley Cyrus cannot catch a break! According to TMZ the pop star's lawyers requested legal action Monday against Devon Meek, who was arrested near her home May 16. Meek has an unhealthy obsession with Cyrus, saying he would rather die than live without her.
"He hears screaming voices in his head and thinks Miley is talking to him through the radio," the site reports.
The super fan must stay at least 100 yards away from the former Disney star for the next three years, including at venues where she performs. He remains in a psychiatric hospital, but said he planned to continue his quest upon release.
Detective Rosibel Smith wrote in a sworn statement an officer who interviewed Meek "informed me that Mr. Meek stated that when he is released from the hospital, he will not stop seeking Ms. Cyrus and that he will continue to go to Ms. Cyrus' residence until Ms. Cyrus accepts him or he dies."
Last month Cyrus filed a temporary restraining order against Meek, and Mail Online received official documents.
"Meek, who we are informed and believe suffers from delusions about Ms. Cyrus, believes that the singer/actress/celebrity Ms. Cyrus communicates with him through her songs and is telling him to come to see her so that they may be together," it read.
The "Wrecking Ball" crooner claimed "she is in fear for her safety because of Meek's mental state and apparent obsession with Cyrus."
This comes on the heels of the blonde starlet's maserati being stolen.
"The suspects were able to gain access into the residence and garage," police told Us Weekly. "They removed property including jewelry and a 2014 White, 4-door, Maserati Quattroporte. No one was home at the time of the burglary."
Cyrus' assistant called the cops late Saturday night, as things "didn't look right" when she stopped by her home. The same thing happened when the singer was robbed in November of "a lot of personal items."
According to LAPD Lt. Andy Neiman, the car was found 45 miles northwest of downtown LA on a Simi Valley street.
