Country Music Singer LeAnn Rimes rocked the red carpet of the 2014 CMT Music Awards with a relaxed and sultry hairstyle.
The pro behind the look? Leann's tresses were created by celebrity hairstylist Tommy Buckett for Garnier. Inspired by Rimes' dramatic, cut-out white dress, Buckett chose a wavy hairstyle that framed her face and smoky eye makeup look.
"We wanted to create a textured and edgy hairstyle to compliment her glamorous, sexy gown," said Buckett. Buckett broke the look down for us! Check out how to steal this look, a great option if your hair is long or you have extensions:
Buckett first prepped the hair look by using Garnier XXL Volume Thickening Mousse on Rimes' damp hair and then blow dried it straight.
Next, Buckett applied a flat iron protectant spray to Rimes' hair. He then took a flat iron to one-inch sections using the round end of a flat iron creating a "c" shape and then flipping to the opposite side creating another "c" shape.
The stylist continued this motion down all hair strands creating an overall "s" shape. Following this, he tousled Rimes' hair using his fingers.
Buckett used Garnier De-Constructed Beach Chic Texturizing Spray, misting and scrunching Rimes' entire hair creating tons of texture and a "ropy" effect.
Finally, Buckett lifted up sections of Rimes' hair and applied Garnier De-Constructed Texture Tease Dry Touch Finishing Spray ($00) at the roots.
He then back-combed her hair to create volume and then applied more product for an all-over textured look.
