Emily Maynard is a married woman! "The Bachelorette" star tied the knot with management consultant fiancé Tyler Johnson on Saturday in South Carolina. 200 family members and friends gathered at the Johnson family farm in Sharon for a pink, country-themed bash. Congratulations to the new happy couple!
Even the guests were shocked of the wedding, as they were invited to an "engagement party." They enjoyed cocktails before staff members arranged the chairs for the nuptials and played music. Though shocked and emotional, the attendees quickly took their seats for the event.
The 28 year old mother of one wore a strapless white ball gown with a light pink toned bodice and satin sash, according to E! News. Maynard wore her hair in a half updo and completed the look with cowboy boots. Johnson waited for her under a white oak tree in a dark suit and white dress shirt.
Entertainment was provided by a country band and the guests enjoyed southern comfort food including pulled pork, shrimp, and scalloped potatoes. Sounds delicious!
The reality star's eight year old daughter Ricki served as maid of honor. She also had her own first dance with Johnson, who she clearly has a strong bond with.
"It's just as much her day as it is mine because it's a big change for her," Maynard told PEOPLE. "She just adores Tyler and he is so good with her. He loves her as if she was his own daughter. It's been so great to see their relationship grow."
Maynard even matched the wedding cake, which was four tiers of cotton candy pink fondant and copper designs with flowers.
After starring in the fifteenth season of "The Bachelor," Maynard was engaged to Brad Womack but they broke up after the show. She moved on with Jef Holm, who she met on "The Bachelorette," though that did not work out either.
"For so long I felt so embarrassed and ashamed about that TV stuff," she confessed.
