Lucy Hale is more than ready to take her place in the country music scene with the Nashville native going back to her southern roots in the latest Music Issue for Flare magazine as she wears a Michael Kors blouse, a Dolce & Gabbana skirt and a Bootmaster belt on the cover.
According to Just Jared, the 24-year-old "Pretty Little Liars" season 5 star chatted up the magazine about her new album "Road Between" which is currently in stores now. Ashley Benson's costar also explained how she chooses to approach her music.
Specifically, she brushed off claims that she calls out her ex-boyfriends Taylor Swift style. She explained, "I don't really keep in touch with many of my ex-boyfriends. But there are some digs in the album for sure.
"Taylor's untouchable. She made country quote-unquote 'cool.' And she made it OK to talk about your problems. And be vulnerable. And talk sh** about your ex-boyfriend. That's so fun! Everyone wants to do that."
Before starring on the ABC Family hit show, Lucy Hale was a singing contestant on "American Juniors." Despite her success since her time on that show she realizes that things were a bit stressful back then. She explained, "Now, looking back, I'm like, that's a lot of stress to put on some kids. But it was fun."
Even though Hale is satisfied with the final product that is her album she did admit that there are a lot of risks in putting out an album.
Shay Mitchell's costar confessed, "It's very scary being open, being vulnerable, putting your- self out there at the risk of failing.
"The scariest part is working so, so hard for something and then it not paying off. But that almost doesn't even matter to me anymore. Making the album was the best experience of my life."
Lucy Hale's issue of Flare will be available on NextIssue starting June 5th and will hit newsstands on June 16th.
