It looks like the coven in the French Quarter is growing as the newest cast has been announced to join "The Originals" season 2. There is defintely a new witch in town as "The Wire" actress Sonja Sohn has landed a recurring role on the next season of the CW hit series.
According to E! News, the actress is set to make her debut on the show in episode 3. Sohn will be portraying the character Lenore who is a "powerful salt-of-the-Earth in New Orleans."
Fans of Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will not take too kindly to Lenore who will prove to be a major enemy for the hybrid.
Other than playing Detective Shakima "Kima" Greggs for five seasons on the HBO drama, "The Wire," Sohn starred on "Body of Proof" and has made guest appearances on "The Good Wife," "Law & Order: SVU" and "Burn Notice."
However, Sonja Sohn's Lenore isn't the only new witch fans heading to New Orleans. Just last month, it was confirmed that "Teen Wolf" season 3 star Daniel Sharman would be making his way to the French Quarter as the new witch Kaleb.
Sharman who has also starred in films such as "Immortals" and "The Last Days of Edgar Harding" will be playing Kaleb, "the handsome, devilish and charming new witch in the French Quarter's coven.
"Intent on wreaking havoc, wooing women and causing as much chaos as possible, Kaleb has been deeply wounded by a horrific family upbringing and covers his emotional bruises with a wicked sense of humor, as well as a wicked temper."
In other words, when you are on Kaleb's good side you can expect nothing short of a good time however, if you cross him you will surely regret it.
"The Originals" season 2 is expected to return in October and will be moving to a new night, airing on Mondays at 8 p.m., followed by the CW's new and first comedy, "Jane the Virgin."
