Most girls dream of being a princess, but Elle Fanning got to do it! She was so excited to play the role of Aurora in Disney's "Maleficent" and work with Angelina Jolie. Keep reading to find out what she said!

"I love the animated movie. That was one of my favourite movies growing up. I loved Aurora so much," she said in a behind the scenes clip.

"Of course you dream of being a princess. I'm getting to play a princess, which I never would've thought. I've had the best time, it's really incredible."

"Maleficent," which debuts Friday, focuses on the villain character from classic "Sleeping Beauty."

"You get to see my character ever since she was a baby and growing up. I take over from when she's 15, right before her 16th birthday," she explained.

Like most of us would be, Fanning also admitted she was nervous about meeting her co-star Angelina Jolie. It turns out there was nothing to worry about!

"I remember I came to the studios and they were like, 'Oh you're going to meet her today' and I'm like, 'I was not prepared!' So I turn the corner and then I saw her, like Angelina Jolie in the flesh!" she told Teen Vogue.

"And she gave me a huge hug and she like shook my shoulders and said, 'We're going to have the best time working together!'"

Fanning is the younger sister of the actress Dakota Fanning. She also starred in "We Bought A Zoo," "Phoebe In Wonderland," and "Super 8."

The young starlet makes time for her normal kid life as well, recently revealing how a guy from school asked her to prom. How cute?

"He called me at school one day, and he was like, 'I got in a car accident! Come down to my car,'" she told Jimmy Kimmel. "I'm like like, 'Oh, gosh!' I go in panic mode and go running down [to the parking lot with his car]."

"He was in the front seat, and he goes, 'can you look in the back trunk to get a tool box?'"

She continued, "But I didn't see a tool box, so I got the first aid kit out [to give to him]. He's like, 'No! There were flowers in the trunk-roses in the trunk!"

"But I totally passed the roses and went to the first aid kit," she laughed. "It was so funny! He was like, 'No, will you go to the prom?'"
