Remember when Phil Robertson compared homosexuals to bestiality in THAT GQ interview? Well, he appears to be at it again, reiterating his comments in church. This is not a good look for the "Duck Dynasty" clan, especially since the series briefly suspended him the first time.
"You say, 'why'd they get mad at you?' Cuz instead of acknowledging their sin, like you had better do, they railed against me for giving them the truth about their sins," Robertson preached.
"Don't deceive yourselves. 'Is homosexual behavior a sin?' the guy asked me. I said, 'do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor the idolators, nor adulterers nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders, nor thieves, nor greedy, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God!'"
While Robertson explained he "loves all of humanity" as they are, there is no doubt he does not condone the LGBT lifestyle.
"I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me. We are all created by the Almighty and like Him, I love all of humanity. We would all be better off if we loved God and loved each other," he said in a public apology.
GLAAD made clear they would no longer support A&E after the first incident, promoting others to follow suit, leading to Robertson's temporary "hiatus" on "Duck Dynasty". Ratings last season were at an all time low since February 2012, and the sixth season is set to air June 11.
The rest of the Robertsons rallied around the patriarch after the original comments were made, and we are sure they will do the same now. Some other family members have made clear they would be fine without the show, but we know Duck Commander CEO loves the attention.
