It looks like Evan Peters clearly remembers his first kiss with fiancé Emma Roberts and how badly he messed it up.

According to E! News, during the 27-year-old's appearance on the Monday episode of "Chelsea Lately" to promote his new movie "X-Men: Days of Future Past," he couldn't help but talk about the awkward moment.

Roberts, 23, and Peters met on the set of their indie film "Adult World" where initially sparks did not fly between the two of them.

The "American Horror Story: Coven" actor explained, "I had a huge crush on her," adding, "I tried to be cool and funny and flirt a little bit, but it didn't go over very well because I was just saying the wrong things, basically."

When the host asked the actor what exactly could he say wrong he gave her a "perfect example" of what he meant.

Evan Peters told Handler, "There's a party scene at the end of the movie," adding, "And the director's like, 'Evan, kiss Emma,' and it wasn't scripted and I got really awkward and really weird and forgot what to do, and then I kissed her."

The actor continued, "It was good, but it was super awkward and so I felt weird about it. So I was like, 'That was like kissing Cloris Leachman.' And she was super pissed off."

However, after wrapping the movie and no longer talking to his upset costar, Peters admitted that he sent Roberts a couple of "eggplant emojis" and then it all worked out.

During her appearance on the show a few months back, Emma Roberts told the host that she knew that she would end up with Peters.

She explained, "I actually, on the set, was like, 'Oh yeah, we're totally gonna date.'"
