We are in for a treat at this year's Billboard Music Awards, but don't expect a rerun of the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards! Robin Thicke will debut a new song, "Get Her Back," in a ploy to win estranged wife Paula Patton back!
The event takes place on May 18 at Las Vegas' MGM Garden Arena. Thicke was married to Patton for 14 years and shocked fans when they separated in February. Though the couple appears to be living separate lives, Thicke seems insistent on reconciling.
"All I wanna do is make it right," are some cryptic lyrics, obtained by TMZ.
Others include "I gotta get her, go get her back / I gotta treat her right / I gotta cherish her for life."
"I should've kissed you longer / I should've held you stronger / And I'll wait for forever for you."
Patton recently revealed her "deep love" for the "Blurred Lines" singer, so maybe all hope is not lost yet!
"The two of them are now talking about what Robin needs to do to convince Paula that the marriage can work to her satisfaction," a source told the site.
It was revealed the "Final Destination: Ghost Protocol" star has not hired a divorce attorney yet.
Other performers at this year's awards include Shakira, Katy Perry, 5 Seconds of Summer, Ariana Grande, Florida Georgia Line, Iggy Azalea, Imagine Dragons, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Lorde, Luke Bryan, Miley Cyrus, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, OneRepublic, Pitbull, and Ricky Martin.
Thicke is up for seven awards, including top R&B artist, R&B album, and top hot 100 song. "Blurred Lines" debuted in the No.1 slot on the Billboard 200, selling seven million copies and becoming the eighth most downloaded song of all time.
