There is more to Amanda Seyfried than meets the eye, and she is letting it all out in an "unexpected" new interview! Find out what she had to say in the June 2014 issue of Elle UK!
The "Mean Girls" actress admits she feels pressures to look good in Hollywood, yet is hopeful things could change.
"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't constantly aware of what I'm doing with my body," she says. "I don't have to look like a supermodel. I don't have to have those abs - the camera doesn't see that. But because we have all been designed to want these things, I'm a victim of this stuff, too."
"Thank god for Kate Upton," the actress continued. "She's a supermodel. She has curves. She's like the new image of beauty and thank god."
Seyfried, who has been dating Justin Long since last year, explained she spoils herself with sugar, wine, and coffee, but works out an hour a day. They make a great pair because the blonde "needs someone to make fun of the stick up my ass."
In the past she dated "Mamma Mia!" co-star Dominic Cooper, but the pair split for being too different. She states she hopes he is happy in his new relationship, and what they had was special.
"It was the most romantic thing ever," she explained. "We had such an amazing experience, so special and separate from everything else that we'd experienced in life. A moment to remember. [But] I'm too uptight for him. Or he's too relaxed for me. He's been with the same girl for ages. I hope they're happy."
Seyfried also opened up about more personal struggles with mental health like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which used to make her feel "crazy."
"I feel terrible for the younger me, because I thought I was crazy. Where was the fear coming from? It doesn't make any sense," the "Dear John" star revealed. "It becomes physical - I would get dizzy and cry and the lights were too bright. I had my anxiety and my OCD - a lot of kids have it. You're afraid of it; you're afraid of your brain."
