It looks like we are going to be seeing a certain plush toy hitting the big screen once again. Actress Amanda Seyfried has been tapped to star in the "Ted" sequel.
On Monday, February 24th it was announced that Seth MacFarlane decided to bring back the hilarious teddy bear from his 2012 hit comedy.
According to Us Weekly, the "Les Miserables" star will replace Mila Kunis who starred as the female lead in the first film.
The "That 70s Show" starlet played Lori Collins who married Mark Wahlberg's character John Bennett at the end of the first film.
Whether or not her character will be returning for a small role or not appear in the sequel at all alongside Seyfried's character in the storyline remains unknown.
However, Wahlberg is set to reprise his role as the 30-something grown man-child who is best friends with the lovable yet foul-mouthed teddy bear Ted who is voiced by MacFarlane.
The publication reported that the first film broke box-office records in 2012, grossing nearly $550 million worldwide.
The mastermind behind "Family Guy" will return to the sequel balancing the roles of producer, writer and costar.
Deadline reported that the decision to have Amanda Seyfried replace Mila Kunis as the lead female in the film was simply a creative direction by MacFarlane.
The gorgeous brunette who continues to voice Meg in the comedian's hit animated Fox series still remains close with him.
Seyfried like Kunis has already worked with MacFarlane on a movie. The blonde "Lovelace" actress stars in MacFarlane's upcoming film, "A Million Ways to Die in the West."
"Ted 2" is set to hit theaters in June 2015.
