It looks like "Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford is finally putting the Upper East Side behind him for an experience in Lima, Ohio. The actor is set to appear on the special 100th episode of "Glee."

According to Us Weekly, a source confirmed on Friday, January 10th that not only is he on the show but he is also playing a love interest.

The insider revealed that the former Mr. Nate Archibald "will play Dianna Agron's boyfriend, whom she brings back to Lima to meet her friends."

While Chace Crawford has made a name for himself as heartthrob on the CW hit series "Gossip Girl," the star has branched out and conquered various roles. However, the insider confessed that unlike the rest of the cast, "his character will not be singing -- as of now."

The source also said, "Chace is excited to work with [series co-creator] Ryan Murphy and his longtime friend Matthew Morrison," adding, "He knows most of the other cast as well."

Other "Glee" alumni expected to return for the landmark episode include the likes of Kristin Chenoweth (April), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Harry Shum Jr. (Mike), Heather Morris (Brittany) and Mark Salling (Puck).
