Marcia Gay Harden will play Christain Grey's adoptive mother in "Fifty Shades of Grey!" The Oscar winner and "Pollock" actress will step into the E.L. James' role for the highly anticipated movie.
According to New York Daily News, the 54-year-old star is the latest addition to the cast for the huge film, based off of James' steamy novels.
The character, Grace Treveylan Grey is not only Christian's mom. She is a pediatrician who loved, adopted and treated Christian after his birth mother died.
Harden will star alongside Irish actor, Jamie Dornan, who stars as Christian Grey. The main male character is a sexy billionaire who seduces college student Anastasia Steele, played by actress Dakota Johnson.
Production on "Fifty Shades of Grey" already began last month after a lengthy casting search to fill the main roles. Cameras started rolling on set in Vancouver this month.
Filming had been up for discussion after Charles Hunnam quit the film, and renounced the role of Christian Grey. Dornan won the part after the "Son of Anarchy" star's exit.
The cast also includes Eloise Mumford, Max Martini and Luke Grimes, among others. News also broke that singer, Rita Ora has signed on to play Grey's adopted younger sister, Mia.
The novels will come alive on the big screen in February 2015.
