Rumors are spreading everywhere that Liam Payne's girlfriend, Sophia Smith is pregnant! Directioners went crazy on Twitter over the news that the One Direction member, 20, may be having a baby with Smith, 24.

According to Hollywood Life, the Twitterverse exploded with fans, who were in a frenzy on Tuesday and Wednesday.

"Sophia Smith is pregnant???????????? WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RUMORSSSSS," tweeted one 1D follower, @gonzales18_1.

The reactions were mixed, ranging from happiness, to disappointment, to confusion. Fans wanted to weigh in on the speculation about the "Story of My Life" crooner. Many also wanted to voice their anger and dislike for Smith. 

"Sophia Smith is pregnant," tweeted @jagodasobczak1. "Ew I just threw up in my mouth."

The talk started when Directioners heard that the mother or sister of the "This is Us" star had confirmed that Smith was expecting. But at this point, no one knows if the pregnancy comment is true or false. 

Payne has yet to confirm or deny the rumors, reported HL.

It seems that the performer has battled speculation about his relationships since day one. Many fans though he and Smith had called it quits after just a few months recently. But no word on that break up rumor either.

Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik's bandmate had went public with his relationship with Smith in August. The singer had previously dated former girlfriend, Danielle Peazer on and off for three years.
