Rihanna has been named the new face of MAC Viva Glam! The beauty brand announced the big news on Twitter recently.
The pop diva already has sprinkled her makeup magic on several color-capsule collections for the beauty brand. Gals everywhere have shopped her RiRi Hearts MAC summer and fall collections, and her upcoming holiday range is highly-anticipated. Rihanna must be MAC's favorite muse! Following in the footsteps of Eve, Boy George, Chloe Sevigny, Ru Paul, Elton John, Cyndi Lauper, Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj, the self-professed bad girl is fronting the brand's campaign for Viva Glam lipstick starting in January 2014. And the Bajan beauty will support the MAC AIDS fund, raising money and awareness for the disease as part of her new role, too.
RiRi was very excited about her new gig. "Mama, Ima #VIVAGLAM girl!!!," tweeted Rihanna. "Super thrilled to be teaming up @MACcosmetics for charity! #VIVAGLAM more lipstick, more lives impacted!"
MAC returned the love, pointing out Rihanna's amazing qualities that make her an appropriate fit for spokeswoman. "Viva Glam spokespeople are provocative, alternative and influential," said MAC Cosmetics.
Since RiRi's first RiRi Woo lipstick sold out in a few hours, and the singer has brought such popularity to the cult Canadian label created in 1985, we expect good things from this venture. With Rihanna, Viva Glam's newest campaign has success written all over it!
The daring singer has landed quite a prestigious job. Viva Glam, known as the heart and soul of MAC Cosmetics, prides itself on turning the world's attention toward those suffering from the effects of HIV and AIDS. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from every lipstick go toward men, women and children affected by the disease.
