After the latest "Carrie" cast trailer with Chloe Moretz debuted, a new "closet" clip of the film has gone viral. Fans are also gearing up for the movie's upcoming release date.

According to JustJared Jr., Moretz is forced into and locked in a closet by her deeply religious mother, played by Julianne Moore in the extended clip.

The reimagined remake of the classic horror tale tells the story of Carrie White, a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her mother. After being pushed too far at her senior prom, Carrie unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town.

MTV's movie blog reported that the Kimberly Peirce-directed reboot is quite scary.

"Even in the short clip, it's easy to get a better idea of what to expect from the film," wrote MTV's Kevin P. Sullivan. "There's a strong creep factor here, and Peirce is not shying away from the story's religious aspect."

Many fans still remember the 1976 original with Sissy Spacek. In particular, the choatic prom scene, where Carrie lights the gym and students on fire, sticks in many minds.

Carrie opens on Friday, Oct. 18.
