Miley Cyrus is battling recent AIDS rumors. An internet group is spreading a vicious shocking claim about the "Wrecking Ball" singer on Twitter. 

According to a Hollywood Life report, a group of internet pranksters are trying to convince the world that Liam Hemsworth's ex-fiance has the sexually transmitted disease using the Twitter hashtag #CureForMiley.

The image-sharing board, 4chan started the vicious AIDS rumor on Wednesday. The claim quickly spread like wildfire all over the Twitterverse, with several people using the hashtag.

The internet lie about the "We Can't Stop" songbird is far from the first one that 4chan has started. The controversial group had began many phony campaigns including one for a "creepy middle-aged man to win a contest to meet Taylor Swift," according to the celebrity news site.

"Thankfully, Miley is perfectly healthy - as far as we know - and she knows how to brush off a rumor!," wrote HL's Tierneyhl.

The singer herself cleared up the confusion and set the record straight. Cyrus took to Twitter to even joke about it.

A source close to Cyrus also shut down the baby speculation.

"She is not pregnant," the source told HL exclusively. "She is not worried about the rumors but will definitely allow the rumors to continue as it gets her name out and she has an album to sell. So, no news is bad news!"
