Charlie Hunnam, the "Sons of Anarchy" star, has added a huge role to his bio in 2013. The hot and sexy actor has gained tons more fans since the "Fifty Shades of Grey" casting news came out, with Universal Pictures having hired bodyguards for his protection.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Dakota Johnson's future co-star, 33, got extra security during the "Sons of Anarchy" Hollywood premiere on Sept. 7.
Hunnam hasn't even shot his first scene for the highly anticipated S & M novel-turned-film adaptation yet, but has already been swarmed by tons of impassioned fans. Many of E L James' loyal readers want an up close glimpse of the soon-to-be onscreen Christian Grey.
When the extra bodyguards were hired to protect the star, the FX network, which produces Hunnam's show, didn't pay the bill. Instead, the movie studio producing "Fifty Shades" felt it was their responsibility to ensure Hunnam's safety.
According to the Inquisitr, Worst Previews reported that Hunnam is already the subject of many fans' obsessions. In hopes of getting autographs from the hunky actor, many fans of James' erotic series have started following the actor around.
"Fifty Shades" will be one of the biggest motion pictures in recent history, with fans already obsessing over the film like a Marvel or DC Comics blockbuster, the Inquisitr also reported.
But Hunnam is confident that he will do well as Grey, especially when it comes to the sexual, steamy scenes.
"You know what, I had such a baptism of fire with regards to sexuality on camera at the beginning of my career," Hunname said, according to U.K.'s Metro. "Now I am 16 years older and more mature so I don't anticipate them being too much of a problem. It's like anything else, just an exciting challenge."
Hunnam also added that he would never use a body double in the film hitting theaters on Aug. 1, 2014.
