Lindsay Lohan may be dating and have a new boyfriend in 2013. "The Canyons" star is reportedly seeing former NFL player, Matt Nordgren after her recent wardrobe malfunction, rehab and mother, Dina's DWI arrest. 

According to People, the controversial actress, 27, is romantically linked to 30-year-old Nordgren, who is a "handsome" former University of Texas football star.

"We hung out," Nordgren recently told New York Post's Page Six about spending time with "The Parent Trap" star. "But I have been a friend trying to support her for many years now." 

Lohan met Nordgren, who played one season in the NFl with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2006, seven years ago. The hunky athlete had also starred on the Bravo reality TV show, "Most Eligible Dallas" in 2011.

Nordgren had been previously linked to "The Bachelorette" star Vienna Giardi and former "The Hills" star Audrina Patridge, but has reportedly been seeing Lohan lately. 

The actress' struggles with alcohol and personal issues have been public knowledge for a long time now. But it appears that Lohan is living relatively drama-free after her most recent rehab stint due, in part, to Nordgren being in her life.

Multiple sources also confirmed that the two are more than friends, and are indeed an item to US Weekly. 

The football star is a great role model for Lohan, a source told US.

"He's a great influence on her," a source close to Lohan said about Nordgren's positive effect on the starlet to the celebrity magazine, "and her friends and family love him. He's older, a successful businessman, and he has been a great friend to her. He's also a Christian and won't drink around her. He's trying to keep her sober and on the straight and narrow. He's really good for her."

Nordgren also recently said to Page Six that Lohan has been sober for several months now, is thinking clear and in a good place.
