Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel were seen earlier this week dining and shopping in East Hampton together on Tuesday, making some curious to see if the close friends are bringing their relationship to the next level.  

Diaz and Segel have been friends since they filmed "Bad Teacher" back together in 2011, but their more than friendly relationship may just be beginning, according to the Daily Mail.  

"They were at [upscale eatery] Nick and Toni's and seemed to be on a date," a source revealed.

The two were also grocery shopping together at the popular Citarella food market, which is nearby to the restaurant.

"They bought groceries and then drove off together,' an eyewitness on Instagram revealed.

Currently, Diaz, 40, is filming her new movie "The Other Woman," which also stars Leslie Mann, Taylor Kinney and Kate Upton. However, both Diaz and Segel, 33, will be filming their new movie "Sex Tape."  In the R-rated movie, the two of them play a married couple who accidentally misplace a sex tape they made.

Segel, who recently appeared in "This is The End," broke up with actress Michelle Williams in February after almost a year of dating.  Diaz has dated some high profile celebs herself, including Jude Law, Paul Sculfor, Alex Rodriguez and Justin Timberlake.

Neither of the celebs have confirmed nor denied their relationship status.
