Harry Styles shocked all last night when he twerked in the audience at the Teen Choice Awards last night.  The One Direction member's Twitter fans immediately showed their excitement by creating gifs and videos of the moment.

Styles was encouraged by show hosts Lucy Hale of "Pretty Little Liars," and actor/singer Darren Criss.  

His twerking came as a surprise to his friends Ed Sheeran, sitting next to him, and bandmate Zayn Malik, who was sitting in the row behind him.  The two were in a hyrsterical fit after seeing Styles' twerking style.

Within seconds of Styles twerking, the twittersphere broke out gifs and video, according to The Daily Mail.  Apparantly hundreds of clips were made, and the hastag #HarryDroppedThatThunThunThun began to trend.

The three second twerk wasn't something Styles was proud of, if his later tweet is any indication showing his embarrasment.

Note to self. Don't 'twerk'.

Styles may not have won an award for his twerking, but he did win Top Hottie and Best Smile awards, and One Direction took home awards for Choice Summer Tour, Choice Group, Choice Single for "Live While We're Young" and Choice Love Song for "Little Things."
