The world was introduced to Jimmy Fallon and his wife Nancy Juvonen's baby last month when he posted a picture of his new daughter on Twitter, but it wasn't until just recently that the "Late Night" show host revealed the couple had used a surrogate.
Yesterday in an interview on the Today show, Savannah Guthrie provided a sneak peak into her full interview with Jimmy Fallon, which is set to air on the morning show next week, according to E!Online.
In the interview, the new dad opens up about how they got to the point of using a surrogate.
"It wasn't really a secret, but my wife and I have been trying for a while to have a baby," he said. "And so we've tried a bunch of things. And so we had a surrogate."
The couple wanted to remain relatively private about the process and birth of having daughter Winnie Rose Fallon.
"This time, we just said we're not telling anybody, he added. "It'd just be more fun if it was just private between me and my wife, and we get to introduce her to everybody. When it happened, we were shocked!"
Winnie Rose is the first child for Fallon, 38, and Juvonen, 46. The two of them married in 2007 after meeting through Drew Barrymore, a mutual friend.
Here's the tweet with the acompanying Instagram pic (above). How cute is that bow?
