Jason Wu, fashion's most fab and fresh designer, is now doing makeup! The stellar style maven will debut 15 products with Lancome exclusively at Nordstrom and the Bergdorf Goodman store in NYC this September. That's just in time for New York Fashion Week, beauty junkies. Yay!
We are counting down the hours until his color cosmetics hit beauty shelves. The line is set to include eye shadow palettes, nail polishes and lipsticks with deep, rich colors all up for grabs. The compacts are created in his signature shade of dove grey, and will come in accompanying transparent lace bags. Jason even tested out a violet eyeshadow on his gorgeous models at his catwalk show in February.
But sadly that's all we got so far in the details department about the collection, but we'll get all the scoop soon.
But for now, Jason dished on just why his makeup is the next big thing. "I feel like if you design beautiful things, you can apply that ethos to anything you design," he told Women's Wear Daily. "I think makeup is one of the closest parts to fashion - it goes hand and hand in almost every single case."
Flotus' fave designer even spilled why he is loving on Lancome. "In so many ways, Lancome shares a lot of the same DNA as my brand - it's feminine and there's something quite classic about it that never gets old.
"We love that fashion and makeup have another cool collabo! Wu is going to work beauty wonders, and we don't want to miss a second of it!
The dapper designer and Hugo Boss creative director has already cornered the market on style, so think he will do the same in the world of makeup? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below!
