Karl Lagerfeld shot Gabourney Sidibe, Scarlett Johansson, Dakota Fanning, Lily Collins, Zoe Kravitz and more for Harper's Bazaar's "Singular Beauties: An Homage to the Diversity of Women," according to The Cut.
The photos celebrating the different meanings of physical beauty amongst women appears in their September issue. The magazine's global fashion director Carine Roitfeld enlisted Lagerfeld's help to shoot the star-studded global portfolio.
The spread is all about non-sample size women modeling fabulous new clothes in dramatic ways, disproving stereotypes that only super-skinny models belong in mainstream fashion or glossy pages, reported The Cut.
Sidibe appears in a striking red leather jacket with an adorned head scarf while Johansson rocks a gilded gold top-and-skirt combo that shines against a black backdrop. "The Avengers" star's hair is blown out and flying in the wind.
Fanning wrapped herself in a petal pink coat, with a sparking gown peeking through piece by piece. Her light locks, with streaks of pink, are tousled and flying high as well.
Roitfeld cast and styled such a mixed, melting pot of Hollywood starlets in all sizes, races, ages and shapes in an unprecendented editorial unlike anything that fashion world has seen before now, said Fashionista.
It will run in the magazine's 45 editions including their first ever German and Japanese issues.
