Taylor Lautner is extremely excited about his new romance with his "Tracers" co-star Marie Avgeropoules, according to Hollywood Life. 

The "Twilight" actor, 21, and the Canandian actress, 27, are looking cozy these days on-and-off set. Romance rumors began flying that the cute twosome were more than friends after cameras caught them at a Fourth of July party in New York City, HL reported.

A source said that Lautner likes Avgeropoules a lot, "She's totally his type and he's really excited about her." 

However, just as quickly as things are heating up, they might cool down even quicker, the source told the celebrity news site.

The co-stars might not be sticking together for the long haul, "Taylor's having a great time with Marie," the source said.

"But I doubt it will last after they finish the movie," the source continued. "My guess is that this will be a fun summer fling for Taylor because his number one priority is his career. He is extremely driven and ambitious and wants to become the biggest action star in the world."

Lautner and his co-star got back to work at the "Tracers" NYC set on Sunday, laughing and chatting with each other.

JustJared Jr. reported that Lautner was such a gentleman, walking Avgeropoules to an awaiting car while she is on crutches. 

But, though love is in the air, Lautner is happy with his career. He wants to land a role in the next "Fast & Furious" franchise installment, according to HL.
