Tony Parker is getting married again, proposing to his girlfriend, Axelle Francine nearly three years after divorcing Eva Longoria.
Fresh off of their NBA Finals loss against the Miami Heat, The San Antonio Spurs point guard, 31, mentioned his new "fiancee" on Twitter recently, according to E! Online.
Nonchalantly, Parker mentioned Francine, a French journalist that he has dated for two years, on the social media site on Wednesday. As a brand ambassador for Tissot, a Swiss watch company, the NBA baller participated in a recent Twitter Q & A, where he answered questions for fans.
One person asked what he likes to do after games, and Parker responded, "spend time with my fiance." The French basketball star even shopped for engagement rings last week.
But his urge to jump the broom comes as a bit of a shock given that Parker went through a highly-publicized divorce with Longoria that painted him as a liar and unfaithful cheater.
Though he withstood the backlash and criticisms, Parker was not in a rush to marry again or so we thought.
In February, he told US Weekly that he did not plan to propose in the near future after just getting out of a marriage.
He married Longoria in 2007, but she filed for divorce in November 2010 amid hundreds of rumors that Parker was involved in a secret relationship with a woman, who he exchanged text messages. The divorce was finalized in 2011.
She revealed her devastation over the split publicly, but the "Devious Maids" executive producer since moved on and is rumored to date Ernesto Arguello from the reality show, "Ready to Love," which she produced.
Parker seemed to deal with the breakup better. We hope his second time getting hitched will work out.
