Summer is finally here and it is time that we break out our favorite colors of the season. This means soft hues, bold bright colors, electric blues, vibrant reds, and of course neon!

However, according to Michelle Phan, producing neon polish is illegal in the United States. For the people out there who think they have neon polish you are mistaken, a true neon lacquer consists of colorants that have not been FDA-approved

So for those of us who live in the United States there is a trick we can use to get bright nails that look just as vibrant as neon polish.

Before applying your desired color, paint a layer of white polish as your base coast. This will make your nail color more vivid when you apply the bright polish, be sure to let the base dry before you apply your final coat.
