Even though she is going through a difficult break up with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart took the time to say some kind words about her late co-star James Gandolfini.
The two starred in the film "Welcome to the Rileys" together back in 2010. Stewart played a teenage stripper while Gandolfini played a grieving father of a deceased child who saw the actress' character as someone he could save.
Off camera the two bonded over their mutual introversion, according to Entertainment Weekly. Both were not big talkers and yet the faces of successful on-screen pieces, Gandolfini in "The Sopranos" and Stewart in "Twilight."
According to EW, when Stewart wrapped filming for "Welcome to the Rileys" she spoke about her low-key friendship with the Emmy Award winning actor. She said, "Jim was ... the sh-t."
"He's quiet. We got along well because we let it happen the way it's supposed to. It was very organic, very cool."
Fast forward to present day following the actor's death caused by a heart attack on June 19th, the actress once again had nothing but positive things to say about her former co-star.
She told EW, "When I heard of James' passing I was in New Orleans, where we met shooting, and every memory flooded back and gutted me."
"I'll hold that time near to me forever. He was immeasurably great. My heart goes out to his beloved family."
While his ex-girlfriend was mourning the loss of her co-star it seems Robert Pattinson was busy trying to secure his place as Christian Grey.
Rumors over the weekend alleged that the party Pattinson threw for a close friend left Kristen Stewart off the guest list but welcomed "Fifty Shades of Grey" author E.L. James.
Seeing as the film adaptation now has a director, Sam Taylor-Johnson, casting for the characters is assumed that casting is not be too far behind.
