Alyssa Milano is proving that she is "the boss" and still super sexy as the cover girl for Maxim's July/August issue. 

The brunette actress, who is steaming up the small screen as Savi in ABC's "Mistresses," is proving that she can still stun at 40. She showed a lot of skin in just underwear and an unbuttoned flannel shirt, baring a peek-a-boo bit of her cleavage on the cover. 

Inside the magazine, she stripped off more clothing and got comfortable in revealing lingerie and short shorts, according to the Huffington Post.

The former child star of "Who's the Boss" fame opened up about showbiz past. "That was an era where TV child stars just didn't work after their show was over," she said in the interview. "I think Christina Applegate and I are the only two who maintained some sort of career path past the shows that launched us."

She continued, "But I have a great family, and I look at a lot of these kids who struggle in the industry and I think they'd have struggled no matter what they did."

The wife and mom said that the 1980's sitcom wasn't weird despite growing up in front of the cameras.

"You know, I went through puberty like everyone else; it only got embarrassing when the show would take what was going on with me and write it into the show like 'Samantha's First Bra." It was like, OK, guys, do we really need to do this? But what an awesome time stamp!"

But she is not the only one happy about a past choice. Maxim tweeted their happiness over Milano's cover.
