Revlon and Marchesa are a partnership made in nail heaven, having created three new make-up collections including one for new nail art to launch this Fall.
According to the UK'S Telegraph, the prominent beauty brand and famous fashion house are extending their collaborative efforts from working together backstage at makeup shows to devising nail decorations. There will be a trio of color collections including lip, eye and beauty tools launching over this year and next, with their nail art wraps coming soon.
Georgina Chapman, Marchesa's co-founder and designer detailed just how the partnership bloomed. "When we were first approached by Revlon about a potential collaboration, Karen [Craig, Marchesa co-founder] and I were really excited about a chance to partner with an iconic brand that believes, as we do, in making a woman feel beautiful while remaining true to herself," she said. "Through Revlon's incredible global reach, we will be able to bring a little piece of Marchesa to women around the world."
Each of the eight different 3D nail wraps showcase jewel designs inspired by Marchesa' couture gowns, making this the ulimate expression in nails.
"...Nails have become the ultimate accessory, so we are excited to translate our signature Marchesa design motifs into a collection of 3D Jewel Nail Appliques for our first collection with Revlon," Craig, company co-founder said.
Marchesa, known for glittery red-carpet gowns, has colllaborated with cheaper brands before Revlon. According to the Huffington Post, they cemented a partnership with J.C. Penney's to do an affordable $70-$100-range dress line, "Pearl by Georgina Chapman of Marchesa" for juniors in February.
The question on fans' minds everywhere is whether the nail art collection will be just as affordable or mirror the high-end prices of their glitzy, shimmering evening gowns that pop at any awards show.
