Several celebrities including Adam Lambert, LeAnn Rimes and Rumer Willis are flipping the bird to bullying in the new "F" word campaign.

According to Just Jared, the "F" word now stands for friend in the campaign, which the famous faces are not only standing up against bullies but supporting the Friend Movement Benefit Concert on July 1. They have come together to teach us about self empowerment.

The inspiring effort started with one woman, Lizzie Velasquez, who faced teasing and mean children in seemingly never-ending torment while growing up. One extremely cruel internet video even labeled the 23-year-old, who was born premature and suffers from a rare disease in which she is blind in one eye and bone thin, as the "ugliest woman in the world."

But instead of stumbling and falling in the face of such hate, she turned it into motivation, action, and a chance to embrace her own strength and beauty. Velasquez made an anti-bullying YouTube video that has become a viral sensation, with more than 3 million hits.

She is now shooting a documentary for the Friend Movement, also starring Rhimes, Lambert and other celebrities. The accompanying edgy campaign includes that infamous hand gesture in an effort to send a strong message to those who taunt or tease.

With the new "F" word, they turn something negative into a positive, influencing kids and teens everywhere to find good friends.

More importantly, they are calling on young people to start believing and embracing their own power and specialness.
