After voluntarily checking herself into rehab for the past month for bipolar II disorder treatment, Catherine Zeta Jones has returned home and seems to be returning back to her life.
The star is back home after a successful month long program to treat her illness, the New York Daily News reported that Zeta-Jones revealed her disorder to the public back in 2011.
The actress' illness is "a condition that can cause episodes of depression lasting days and sometimes intense mood swings."
When she revealed her disorder she said, "If my revelation of having bipolar II has encouraged one person to seek help, then it is worth it."
"There is no need to suffer silently, and there is no shame in seeking help."
The Huffington Post reported that when the actress also said, "It's not easy. I'm not the kind of person who likes to shout out my personal issues from the rooftops, but with my bipolar becoming public, I hope fellow sufferers will know it's completely controllable."
"I hope I can help remove any stigma attached to it, and that those who don't have it under control will seek help with all that is available to treat it."
Following her return from rehab the actress was spotted driving back to her New York City apartment wearing dark sunglasses with her hair pulled back into a messy bun.

Her husband Michael Douglas, gushed to People Magazine about his wife while he was at the Cannes Film Festival promoting his film "Behind the Candelabra," he said,
"She's doing a really good job of getting balanced. I'm proud of her."
The Daily Mail reported that when it was announced that Zeta-Jones was returning to treatment for her Bipolar II, the actress' publicist said that it was part of her commitment to managing the disorder.
"Catherine has proactively checked into a health-care facility," said her rep, Cece Yorke.
"Previously Catherine has said that she is committed to periodic care in order to manage her health in an optimum manner."
