Another Hollywood starlet has joined the ranks of the fiery redheads. Actress Megan Fox is now a certified ginger. The star and her red-hot new locks were spotted leaving LAX late last week as she arrived with husband, actor Brian Austin Green and new baby boy, Noah.
The new mom's new do is for an upcoming movie role. Fox is set to play redhead, April O'Neil, the crime-fighting turtles' human friend in Michael Bay's upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film.
Megan is yet another actress to go red in recent weeks. Glee star, Dianna Agron and Disney star, Ariel Winter, also dyed their hair red, making this a hot new trend among celebrity A-listers.
Are you considering going red? Marie Claire offers a few good things to consider before you do. First, think about what will compliment your complexion. Jennifer J, a Matrix celeb colorist and owner of Juan Juan Salons in Southern California says there is a 'right' red out there for most women (she colors Julia Roberts's auburn mane), but women with cool or pinkish skin pull it off the look best. On the other hand, women with golden or olive skin have a harder time finding a shade of red that works for them. Two: If your hair is dry or damaged, it will have a hard time holding on to the red color. Coloring your hair works best if it is well cared-for with deep-conditioning, routine trims, and not a lot of heat styling. And three, are you bold enough for this 'look at me' hair color? Colorist Sarah Gold, the guru behind Lindsay Lohan's formerly flame-colored hair, cites an important redhead tip to keep in mind: "Remember, red hair is like a sequined dress - it walks into the room before you do."
