More than a year since her very public separation from Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore will officially file her own divorce papers in Los Angeles court as early as today.
Moore previously said she wanted to settle the divorce through confidential agreements, but the New York Post is now reporting that the actress wants to reach a settlement now and is frustrated that things are still unsettled between her and Kutcher. Ashton, who filed his own papers in December, could now see the divorce go to a trial.
An insider to the situation told the New York Post that Kutcher has been especially "difficult" and "hostile" throughout the process.
"Ashton made a lot of money after marrying Demi -- a lot more than she made -- but despite him becoming just as famous through her, he believes he doesn't owe her that much," the source said.
"Demi is definitely ready to move on," the source said of Demi Moore's decision to file. "It's hoped lawyers for both sides can reach a settlement this spring. Otherwise the divorce will go into litigation and trial."
Kutcher and Moore split in Novemeber 2011 after infidelity allegations against Kutcher became public. It is believed that Kutcher had an affair with a 22-year-old on the night of his six-year anniversary with Moore.
Kutcher is currently dating actress Mila Kunis. Kunis recently spoke about her relationship with Ashton to Marie Claire.
"I censor myself," the Oz the Great and Powerful actress told Marie Claire. "Lately, more. More."
Kunis, who is featured on the cover of the April issue of the magazine didn't exactly open up about her relationship with Kutcher in the interview. Still, she doesn't want to give off the impression she has any secrets to hide.
"I've always said that it is much easier to be honest than to be caught up in a bunch of lies," she says. "At least this way, you know who you are."
