Charlie Sheen thinks he can lend his 'winning' ways to troubled actress Lindsay Lohan. The Anger Management star thinks he can lend Lohan a helping hand if she's willing to listen about how he has overcome his own past.
"I have a kinship with somebody [Lindsay] who clearly needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not," Sheen, 47, recently told TMZ. "She can continue to hang out with her dress shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey."
Thoughtful and genuine in the request, it seems Sheen has really turned a corner since his post Two and a Half Men blowup that resulted in Sheen's obsession with the catchphrase 'winning.' As for the dress comment, Sheen was referencing a US Weekly report that Lohan returned a ripped-up floor-length Theia gown after wearing it to an amFar event on Feb. 6.
"She said that the dress had ripped [at a club after the fundraiser] -- she couldn't possibly wear it like that -- so her stylist friend went to the club bouncer and requested some scissors to repair the torn part of the dress," a source told Us. "But what bouncer has scissors?" The dress was provided to Lohan by Sheen, after he called up celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch. Sheen even offered to pay for half of the dress, but Lohan decided she would rather borrow it.
However, Sheen knows that you need to be persistent to reach people in trouble, and hasn't given up trying with Lindsay yet.
"If she listens, she'll win," he told TMZ of offering her advice. "If she doesn't, that's on her."
Lohan is currently facing criminal charges for allegedly lying about a car accident, claiming she was not behind the wheel. All of this comes as bad news for Lohan who posted this tweet on Twitter New Year's Eve: "i feel very blessed to be able to spend time w/ my mom, family&very wonderful friends. Very grateful.. May only good things come this year."
In Lohan's case, 'winning' doesn't sound all that bad anymore.
