Oscar nominated actress Jennifer Lawrence is the new face of Miss Dior and now we see why the iconic fashion house chose the actress. In her first photo shoot for the French design house, Lawrence looks stunning as she poses for a series of black and white and color photos shot by Willy Vanderperre.
The 22-year-old actress manages to looks stylish and sophisticated in the photos, exuding confidence and ease despite admitting in the past that she feels she is fat by Hollywood standards.
The black and white shots show Lawrence sporting a net veil and a large black bow tied around her neck. The veil and the bow lend an old Hollywood glamour to the actress. Another image features her wearing a chunky and sparkly neck piece and tilting her head behind. Lawrence's flawless skin and dreamy eyes attracts more attention than the neck piece in this shot.
Lawrence is seen in a series of other pictures in which she dresses in formal attires like a black pantsuit, a black dress and a white tuxedo inspired dress and flaunts elegant chain strapped bags in various colors. The bags are from the spring ready-to-wear collection by Raf Simons and the ads will appear worldwide in April, reports WWD.
The "Silver Linings Playbook" star replaces actress Mila Kunis who appeared in the print and digital ads for Miss Dior.
Lawrence has recently been seen in Dior apparels on numerous occasions and even suffered a wardrobe malfunction during the SAG Awards when it looked like her Dior dressed ripped. But the brand later clarified that it wasn't a malfunction.
The fashion house told the Associated Press that the gown by Raf Simons was made "with different levels of tulle and satin," and the sheer panel that the audience saw when Lawrence lifted the gown was just a part of the dress.
