Rumor has it that "The X-Factor" co-host Khloe Kardashian, who appeared on the show mid-way through last season, has been fired from the show.

Fox News hasn't confirmed the news but has dropped hints that it might be possible. Executives of the show haven't made the final decision yet but there have been talks about the minimal role of Kardashian in the show and no one is exactly pleased with her hosting skills.

"The producers have not yet made the talent decisions for this year," a representative told Fox 11, according to nydailynews.

Judge Simon Cowell too isn't sure about Kardashian's future on the show as he believes that she has her strong and weak points.

While the information is still being speculated, sister Kim Kardashian has defended Khloe and said that the news has no truth to it. "A lot of people say a lot of incorrect things on the daily," she told TMZ.

But if the 28-year-old does get fired then she will be joining the likes of singer Britney Spears who also left the show after a season. There have been a string of celebs that have been fired from the show right from Cheryl Cole to Paula Abdul.

As of now the only person who will undeniably be seen in the third season is Cowell.

Mario Lopez might be returning to the show and may even fly solo if the channel doesn't find a suitable co-host. But we wonder if Lopez will want to take a break and shoulder some daddy responsibilities as his wife Courtney Mazza is expecting their second child.

Announcing the news, the 39-year-old TV personality said, "I am the happiest father in the world. We cannot wait to welcome baby Lopez number two into our lives," according to Just Jared.
