First lady Michelle Obama chose to wear another creation from Jason Wu at another important event. Michelle Obama wore a red organza tweed flounce dress designed by Jason Wu to her husband President Barack Obama's State of the Union address on Tuesday, according to CBS News.
The dress is a part of Jason Wu's new Fall 2013 collection which was presented at New York Fashion Week earlier this week. The First Lady also accessorized the dress with an Alexis Bittar flower pin, according to CBS News.
Jason Wu has become Michelle Obama's go-to designer for various events that she takes part in. According to CBS News, the First Lady wore a ruby-colored chiffon and velvet dress to last month's inaugural balls. Michelle Obama also wore a Wu white gown to the inaugural balls in 2009. The First Lady also wore a dress from Wu's lower-priced Target line last year, according to CBS News.
Eric Wilson, a writer for The New York Times, stated last month at President Obama's inauguration, "Nothing against Mr. Wu -how could there be when the dress was this gorgeous?- but we haven't seen a first lady give a designer this much exposure since Nancy Reagan met James Galanos".
