Taylor Swift may have successfully poked fun at her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles on her Grammys opening performance, but the One Direction heartthrob is too cool to retaliate.
1D band mates told Harry Styles not to fire back to Taylor Swift's diss at his English accent.
The blonde starlet sang and danced her hit "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" at the opening performance on Sunday night, and
The country singer channeled what seemed to be a “Alice in Wonderland”-themed performance, wearing a white top hat, tails, shorts and boots, showing offher toned body.
During her over-the-top performance, Taylor Swift mocked Styles with her faux accent in a monologue.
“So he calls me up and he is like, I still love ,you and I am like sorry I’m busy opening up the Grammys, and we are never getting back together, like ever,” the 23-year-old singer said.
In response, the 19-year-old British singer opted to stay mum, thanks to his fellow 1D members.
“The lads have told Harry to forget about retaliating, because it’s just not worth it,” a source told RadarOnline.
“They’ve all advised him to be the bigger person and not to wash his dirty laundry in public – it’s just tacky and embarrassing.”
“With the media circus that surrounded Harry and Taylor when they were together, the boys were a little miffed that it distracted fans from the band and what they were all about,” the insider continued.
“Of course, when it didn’t work out, there was a sense of relief because they knew that, along with Harry, they could all move on."
Taylor Swift, who is famous for her songwriting skills using her breakups with ex-boyfriends, may have just gained some notoriety through her Harry Styles dig. The 1D star as well as his mates are all moving on.
“It’s only Taylor now that seems to clinging on to their failed relationship, and Harry has been told to keep his thoughts private.”
