Singer and actress Selena Gomez was seen arm-in-arm with former boyfriend and teen heartthrob, Alfred Flores, at the Chateau Marmont, Los Angeles, Feb. 10. The duo was attending a Grammy after-party.

Flores is a close friend of Justin Bieber. But before thoughts run wild, we must clarify that Flores was merely putting in a good word for Bieber, who is desperately eager to reconcile with Gomez. The couple split in December during a vacation in Mexico.

"Justin has tried to make it seem like Selena is begging him to get him back but it's just not true," a source told Hollywood Life. "On the real, he's desperate. That's why Alfredo went out with her after the Grammys, to try and keep the peace and convince her that he's a good guy. Justin knows he's fu***d up and is picking up the pieces."

And it is not just the "Baby" hit maker who wants to get back with the 22-year-old. Bieber's mother, Pattie Mallette, too is encouraging her son to woo Gomez back as she believes that she has a positive influence on him.

But is the pretty lass really interested? "She doesn't want to see him. He even invited her to tour with him, go on vacation and everything, but she said no 100 times. She's bored and is dying to move on from him and wants to grow on her own as not just his girlfriend," reports Hollywood Life.

This isn't the first time that Gomez and Alfredo have been seen together and sparked speculations. The duo, who swears that their friendship is totally platonic, also set tongues wagging when they attended "High School Musical" actress Ashley Tisdale's birthday party in Malibu sans Bieber in 2012.
