The race to bag the role of the hot Christian Grey in the film adaptation of "50 Shades of Grey" just got hotter. "Gossip Girl" actor Chace Crawford upped his chances of portraying the character after he recently confessed his love for S&M.

Crawford is pretty vocal about wanting the role after playing the coy and oh-so-adorable Nate Archibald in the teen series. "I would love the challenge. I have not read the books, but what I know is that it is risqué, and to be honest, anything to shake up from the way I have been going would be good," he told Fox.

He would not only make a good Christian Grey with his gorgeous smile and fit physique but his liking for S&M also works out in his favor.

"I am only comfortable with S&M sex scenes! The other ones are just too simple and boring for me ... I actually think, whether it is a sex scene, or screaming at something to get something across, I think it is kind of attacked the same way, and you're in the work mode, and you stay professional. It has never been awkward or intimidating to me."

The 27-year-old, who has a sizeable fan base, has also been roped in for the movie "Responsible Adults" opposite Katie Holmes that is expected to start shooting in the fall of 2013.

While Crawford is busy trying to get roles in films, co-star Ed Westwick is being linked to actress Miley Cyrus. According to Perez Hilton, the duo was seen hanging out late night, Feb. 7.

But Cyrus has lashed out at Hilton for spreading lies. "@perezhilton hope you find love one day but can you not f**k with mine. I've never been with Ed W in my life. I was at the studio last night," the actress tweeted.
