Last year might have been incredible for Taylor Swift with her album being a massive hit and her new found love for singer Harry Styles, but looks like 2013 isn't off to a great start for her. Styles and Swift, who were on a romantic vacation at the British Virgin Islands, are said to have had a massive fight and broken up. Didn't Swift's father tell Styles not to break his daughter's heart just a day back?

"Yes I can confirm they have split up. They were on holiday and had an almighty row. They are two young stars at the top of their game so who knows what will happen in the future," The Daily Mail quoted a source.

Following the split, Swift was seen heading home alone without the heartthrob. She might even have begun writing some new songs about her relationship with the "One Direction" band member.

The couple started dating very secretly and the relationship came to light when "The X-Factor" host Mario Lopez revealed that he had seen them holding hands backstage. Since then Haylor have often made public appearances and were even seen sharing an intimate kiss on New Year's Eve.

Through their short lived relationship, the duo has gone out of their way to express their love for each other. Styles bought an expensive gift for Swift on her birthday and it was reported that the "You Belong with Me" hit maker planned to buy a unique gift for her boyfriend. Swift's budget is said to have been about $96,000. Though the couple couldn't spend Christmas together Styles, is said to have sent a singing telegram while she was in Australia.

But as always Swift will surely find a new love interest as well as a muse for her songs. And between all this Eminem's daughter Hailie Mathers must be rejoicing as she made her dislike for Swift clear on Twitter early December.

"If @taylorswift13 is really dating the love of my life Harry_Styles i will not be happy," she tweeted, according to nydailynews. Mathers added, "Dear @taylorswift13, please stop whoring around with every guy you see. We all know you're only doing it so you can make another album."

It now looks like young couples going on a vacation and then breaking up due to a blowout is fast becoming a trend. Another young couple ,Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez too fought and broke up during a getaway in Mexico.
