Azealia Banks twitter feud with Angel Haze and gossip blogger Perez Hilton, defends using homophobic slur. 

Azealia Banks started social media tweet spar with rapper Angel Haze. The Harlem born rapper took to twitter posting towards Haze "Seriously, if you were not born and raised in NY ... DON'T CLAIM NY. YOU ARE NOT A NEW YORKER." Rapper Angel Haze who was born in Michigan responded "On The Edge" adding "Shut The F---- Up." The 22 year-old artist recently released a music video "New York," apparently offending the New York born Banks. Each rapper traded barbs posting tracks targeting each other, until gossip blogger Perez Hilton got into the mix defending Haze. Perez tweeted Banks as "pathetic," "hurtful." Banks responded with @PerezHilton "lol what a messy faggot you are."

The 21 year-old later posted "A faggot is not a homosexual male. A faggot is any male who acts like a female. There's a BIG difference," defending her use of the word. She added "My most sincere apologies to anyone who was indirectly offended by my foul language. Not sure for Perez tho. Lol." fans took sides opposing and supporting the artist on twitter. Banks posted, "You human being have bigger life problems than what I think about some played out gossip dude..." The twitter fight have not subsided Jake Shears, a Gay singer for Scissor Sisters took offense. (GLAAD) Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation criticized Banks for her homophobic slur posting "@AZEALIABANKS Are you open to hearing from young #LGBT people & fans who have been hurt by slurs & comments like yours?"

Azealia has been open about her sexuality posting "Really not as moved by this f word thing as u all want me to be. As a bisexual person I knew what I meant when I used that word."
