Paparazzi photographer trying to take pictures of Justin Bieber's white Ferrari, thinking the pop star was in the car was stuck and killed by oncoming traffic.
The paparazzi was walking across Los Angeles freeway when the accident occured, CHP had pulled over Bieber's Ferrari off interstate 405 off-ramp. The "photographer spotted the vehicle and parked his own vehicle across the street, crossed to get closer to Bieber's car and took photographs of its occupants," according to Los Angeles Police spokesman James Stoughton.
The attempt to take photos of Bieber's Ferrari may have cost the photographer his life, when officers told the paparazzi to return to his car.
Justin Bieber released a statement regarding the accident stating: "While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim," adding, "Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves."
Justin Bieber had many run-ins with the Paparazzi, latest being a high-speed freeway chase in July that result in the pop-star getting a ticket for reckless driving. The 18 year-old claimed he was being harassed by the paparazzi.
"Hope this paparazzi/JB accident brings on some changes in '13 Paparazzi are dangerous! Wasn't Princess Di enough of a wake up call?!" wrote Miley Cyrus on Twitter, referencing Princess Diana's fatal accident in 1997.
