Curtain closes on Katie Holmes Broadway Play 'Dead Accounts,' after just few weeks of production.
The 34 year-old actress return to Broadway was cut short due to poor openning reviews and earnings.
Producers confirmed that the american playwrights, Theresa Rebeck's dark comedy will close on January 6th 2013. The play started on November 3, 2012 lasted only six weeks with 27 previews and 44 performances. The play is about a prodigal son who returns to home, Katie portray Lorna, who has a few questions regarding her brothers return home.
According to New York Times, 'Dead Accounts' only made under 25% of its potential earnings at the Music Box Theatre. Holmes previously acted on broadway in 2008 production of "All My Sons."
Katie Holmes admitted she forgot her lines for "Dead Account" onstage to David Letterman "I just started," said Holmes, adding "Obviously I knew what hte point of it is, so i made my way there."
After her recent split with Tom Cruse, the actress moved to New York city and has started to get her acting career back in order.
