With open ambassador positions worldwide, Bill Clinton rumors to take over as the ambassador to Ireland grows.
Bill Clinton's rumored diplomatic post started when he joked about becoming Ireland's leader last month: "Because of my Irish heritage, if I bought a house here I could run for president of Ireland," according to New York Post. Ambassador rumors kept growing when Hilliary Clinton was asked about the possibility of Bill being nominated as the next U.S. ambassador to Ireland.
Hillary has other ideas, laughing off questions about her husbands potential ambassadorship stating "I'm right now too focused on what I'm doing to complete all the work we have ahead of us before I do step down," according to Politico, during a joint appearance with the Irish prime minister adding, "I'm frankly looking forward to returning to living a life that enjoys a lot of simple pleasures and gives me time for family and friends and other pursuits."
Dan Rooney owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers is stepping down from his post as Irish ambassador at the end of this year. Recently, Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour was rumored as a top candidate for the ambassador post in France and England.
