After marrying Jake Bongiovi in May 2024, Millie recently took to her Instagram to upload a photo flaunting her status before the year ends. 

In her mirror selfie, Millie pursed her lips and sucked her cheeks, creating a lifted sculpted face effect. She also boasted her natural hair curls, while wearing a floral-printed dress.

The Stranger Things star then posed with her newly released Louis Vuitton x Murakami mini bag in front of the mirror, while flexing her engagement ring.

"me and my mini," she wrote, tagging the luxury brand. 

Upon posting, the photos garnered over 3M likes with about 7,000 comments. While her fans lauded her looks and fashion style, a lot threw shade on her appearance and criticized her for styling herself older than her age. 

"What's happening to her face," says a comment.

"(She's like) 42 years old," wrote another netizen.

"Millie's Google history: 'How to look 65 when you are 16," joked one commenter. 

"She's not 16 though, she's closer to 35 than 16," provoked more comments. 

With the increasing negative engagement under her photos, Millie decided to clap back against haters, on Wednesday.

"Women grow!! Not sorry about it," Brown briefly wrote in a now-expired Instagram story. 

With this courageous snapback, her followers revisited her post as well and left more encouraging messages. 

"Omg guys, can y'all just let a girl breathe," pleaded one fan.

"Y'all. She's not a kid anymore. You're still expecting her to look like baby Eleven. She's not," added another internet user.
