Miss Universe Nigeria Reveals Her Take on CEO + Donald Trump Jr Controversial RemarkCredit : Chidimma Adetshina/Instagram

After Miss Nigeria lost the Miss Universe 2024 crown to Miss Denmark, netizens raised their brows at CEO Anne Jakrajutatip and Donald Trump Jr. for "disrespecting" the first-runner-up black beauty queen with their comments.

On Nov. 16th, the 21-year-old Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, Denmark's bet was hailed as the 2024 Miss Universe during the coronation night held in Mexico City. She won against Nigeria's representative, Chidimma Adetshina, who still took home the first runner-up sash.

Unfortunately, the supposed happy moment sparked intense controversies, after Donald Trump Jr., a former co-owner of the Miss U organization implied that Theilvig's win went against Anne'Jakrajutatip's "inclusivity" goal when she acquired the pageant in 2022.

"Biological & objectively attractive women are allowed to win beauty pageants again. WE ARE SO BACK," asserted Trump Jr.

This comment immediately gained backlash from supporters of the "inclusive" pageant. However, this rage intensified when Anna, the CEO herself, made a confusing statement.

In an interview, she was asked about making "strategic efforts" for the pageant to evolve. She responded with, "Evolution? We have blonde and blue eyes, so we're coming to the ultimate evolution already," which caused great dismay to netizens.

Netters were more stunned when she added:

"We don't need any more evolution here. We already got the best here."

To address this heated controversy, Miss Universe Nigeria, a representative of the black community told Business Insider that she "is not offended" by CEO Anna's remark and respected her personal thoughts and feelings about the pageant's evolution.

However, she did take offense with how Trump Jr. "disregarded" the past queens with his unsolicited remark.

"All the queens that were crowned are so beautiful in their own different ways, so for him to make a comment like that, I feel like he was disregarding all the past queens. I can understand why people didn't really like a comment like that."
