In an interview, BLACKPINK Jennie spilled tea about how releasing stress through this extreme wellness activity contributed to her top-tier youthful beauty and perfect body ratio.
In the music, beauty, and fashion worlds, the global K-pop idol shone as an icon with an unchanged appearance since her debut in 2016. Jennie is also known for her much-coveted physique that boasts an 11-line solid abs.
To achieve this, the "Mantra" singer is devoted to her strict diet and workout and constantly improving her mental health through extreme activity.
On Nov. 10th, Jennie appeared in a recent video posted by Vogue's official YouTube channel titled "Cold Plunging with Jennie," a part of its segment, "Well, Well, Well."
Here, the star was seen preparing to do an ice water bath on a lawn overlooking Los Angeles, then narrating how she fell in love with this activity.
"I started cold plunging a few years back while I was working on my body after hours of rehearsing for a tour in Korea."
At the time, she was only going to the sauna until she started adding it to the routine right after. Since it was her first time, Jennie wasn't accustomed to it yet, but she immediately felt the significant changes that it does to the body.

"The first time was a surprise. I freaked out a little bit, but instantly, I felt like the soreness and tightness in my body went away. And maybe because it was the first time, I just had this instant boost in my mood and an overall emotional release. It's like a reset button for your body."
Cold plunging, a wellness activity that helps to have a quick recovery after exercise, requires a person to dip themselves in a 3 to 7-degree Celsius water temperature for up to 3 minutes.
Doing this has a lot of benefits, such as reducing stress and fat, increasing concentration, and strengthening the health of skin and hair. However, since it is a serious stimulus to the body, one should be careful about their body condition and the duration of the bath.
Despite these underlying risks, Jennie strongly stated, "I get scared every single time, but breaking through that fear and pushing myself to do it every day kind of motivated me and made me believe that I'm tougher than I think I am."
